English Language and Cultural Support Classes

We offer free drop-in classes once a week for two hours during the Spring and Fall.

We aim to assist English language learners from beginners to more advanced, but we do not prepare people for any specific level of English test. We work on language skills and cultural awareness. We learn through large group activities, and we also use small group work for more individual attention.

We will let you know here when classes will start again after COVID restrictions are lifted.

Mustard Seed Community Garden

The Mustard Seed Garden has a number of garden beds for the use of people in need in the neighbourhood. Garden beds are assigned/re-assigned on an annual basis. At present, all gardens are assigned.

There is no cost other than what gardeners spend on their own. Gardeners have access to some tools and to water. St. Luke provides soil amendments each spring. Gardeners are required to abide by a signed agreement.

If you wish to be on a waiting list for a garden bed, please contact the church office.

Visitation Teams

A group of volunteers regularly visit people who have become shut ins due to age and health.  If you would like a visit from people of faith please contact the church office.
